Technical

The SharePoint CRM 2010 Template is a self-contained Application with a predefined set of Web Parts and Lists compatible with SharePoint Foundation 2010 or SharePoint 2010 Server Standard (or Enterprise).  These Web Parts and Lists have hard coded relationships at the field level internal to our template framework.

We distribute our CRM 2010 Application in addition to its Web Parts in the form of a CMP file with a batch install that makes it easy for a SharePoint Site Administrator to install it as a sub-site to a Top Level SharePoint site.

Once installed as a sub-site it is ready to manage Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Interactions, Tasks and more.

  1. The creation of a blank or Team site normally requires a site collection with its database, although, the client can choose to make the CRM a sub site of a current Top Level site.
  2. Permissions are based on native SharePoint permission levels as are Users and Group designations. CRM Advanced Privileges and User or Team Permissions available within CRM.
  3. Our CRM Template has no user restrictions, however Microsoft User licensing applies to both the Server OS user base as does the SQL server user licensing where applicable.
  4. The CRM is licensed based on Single Server or Farm. We define a license as one install of the template with one instance servicing one Group of users within one Organization.
  5. Imports from flat files are possible via our Importer which enables Accounts/Contact internal relationship connections.
  6. The OUTLOOK Plug-in is an Add-In to Outlook that allows the transfer and saving of local email messages to a specified SharePoint List manually initiated by the Outlook User.
  7. Our CRM does not have an internal backup component. Backups are controlled by native or third party SharePoint methods.
  8. Our CRM cmp file of less than 1 Meg in size, this includes all current content.
  9. Our Settings List file, an internal CRM SharePoint list, controls most functionality that can be controlled at the Administrative user level beyond the typical SharePoint Administrative settings. We have detailed comments and examples, a kind of API lite for CRM interface controls.
